Our Production Process And Shipping
We are very grateful to have a dedicated customer base that contacts us frequently about our shirts. In some cases it’s people asking where we got inspiration for some of the designs. In other cases it’s people suggesting ideas for future shirts. We take it to heart and take every suggestion to heart and try to find a way to implement it.
Something that we are frequently asked about is why we have a 10-day fulfillment period and can’t get items to our customers in one day. Well, that’s a very good question. The answer is simple. We do not keep inventory. It’s just not practical. We are too small of a company. We have over 700 designs times nine sizes times three shurt types (youth, male and female) times multiple shirt colors.
We receive orders three different ways: through this website Mondomonsterwear.com, our eBay store or through emailed requests that are sent directly. In each case the orders are then processed and sent to our production department where each shirt is printed in a process called DTG. “Direct To Garment” printing means that we are able have no minimum runs or limits to the amount of colors that we use. In other words there are no set up fees. Every shirt can be printed on any size with as many colors as we choose at the pricing that we set. Usually that process takes between 3 to 4 days from the time that it is ordered to when we get it back from our production department - depending on the volume of work we have.
Which now brings us to shipping. In the past we sent all of our shirts through the United States Postal Service first class. Last Christmas when there was a slow down with first class shipping, we decided that for the year 2021 orders would be sent via two day priority mail again through the United States Postal Service. The only exception would be if a customer requested something quicker in which case we would use overnight air via FedEx or UPS.
Starting this year, from November 15 until the end of the Holiday rush, all orders will be shipped using overnight one day air via FedEx or UPS. While we greatly respect the work and efforts of the United States Postal Service, we do realize that they are overtaxed and it’s important for our customers to get their shirts on time to give as gifts. Does this mean you’ll be paying higher shipping rates during that period? Sadly the answer is yes. But once we get through the Holiday rush we will restore our rates to the standard United States Postal Service two day priority mail.
Hopefully this answers a lot of your questions.
And as always if you have any additional questions or comments or ideas for future shirts, do not hesitate to get in touch with us through any of our email addresses:
